The ultra-durable One World Futbol, a soccer ball that never needs a pump and never goes flat, can change the game for the children in the POC camps and communities in South Sudan as well as the former child soldiers and orphans in northern Uganda.<\/p>\n
For example, the balls will be used to teach youth in the POC camps about teamwork and conflict resolution tactics. They\u2019ll be used as a social unifier within the programs of the Peace through Sports Initiative. More than 2,000 youth and children will benefit from use of the balls through tournaments, sports activities and general use of the WPDI sports field. On a larger level, the POC camp where the WPDI sports field is located supports approximately 25,000 civilians who have been displaced by conflict in the country.<\/p>\n
