The past year reminded us how fragile peace can be.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Across many parts of the world, 2025 was marked by rising conflict, growing inequality, and increasing pressure on communities and civil society organizations. And yet, even in the face of these challenges, something powerful continued to take root.<\/p>\n

People chose dialogue over division. Communities chose resilience over resignation.<\/p>\n

Looking back on 2025, WPDI reached 178,000+ people across Africa, Europe, and North America, supporting youth, women, educators, and community leaders as they worked to strengthen their communities and build lasting peace.<\/p>\n

At WPDI, we believe that peace is not an abstract idea.<\/p>\n

Peace is a skill. It is something that can be learned, practiced, and shared.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Through our programs in Peacebuilding, Livelihood, Health and Well-being, and Sports, communities gain the tools to resolve conflict, create economic opportunity, and support the well-being that allows societies to move forward together.<\/p>\n

Throughout 2025, we saw this vision come to life.<\/p>\n

Youth Peacemakers facilitated dialogue in communities facing tension and uncertainty. Teachers and students brought conflict resolution education into classrooms. Women launched small businesses and cooperatives that strengthen families and local economies. Community Learning Centers welcomed thousands of visitors seeking knowledge, connection, and opportunity.<\/p>\n

These efforts are often quiet. They happen in classrooms, in community meetings, and in conversations between neighbors. But together, they form the foundation of stronger, more resilient societies.<\/p>\n

Our 2025 Annual Report, Transforming Challenges into Change: Youth, Women, and the Power of Peace, reflects on these stories and the people behind them.<\/p>\n
