The WPDI Annual Report 2022 is out, showcasing our key efforts and achievements to empower underprivileged youths and women from vulnerable and conflict-afflicted communities.
Despite the challenges of the COVID-19 crisis, WPDI has become more resilient and recently celebrated empowering 1.5 million people in the past decade.
In 2022, we have reached a turning point with our efforts to mediate conflicts and promote peace:
- Our programs have benefited 174,138 people, including direct beneficiaries and participants in peace-building events.
- Overall, 50% of WPDI’s beneficiaries are women and girls.
- The Peace Education program was hosted in 206 schools, reaching over 35,000 learners.
- We supported 399 businesses, including 163 new ones, as a path to peace and prosperity.
- We trained 2,077 community leaders in Conflict Resolution.
- Our Sexual and Reproductive Health and Trauma Healing Services benefited 4,944 beneficiaries.
- Our 16 Community Learning Centers have over 12,999 trainees, 60% of which are women.
- Our programs pursue 12 UN Sustainable Development Goals, and over 32 million people have been sensitized to peace messages through various media platforms.
