As we come to the end of 2018, WPDI expresses our sincere appreciation for your interest in the successes achieved by our teams on the ground as well as the children and youth who have joined our mission. In the past 12 months, our accomplishments have been many, and we wish to highlight some of them in this end-of-year bulletin.
The theme that best encapsulates our progress in 2018 is, to us, “consolidation.” Across our many programs, we have bolstered our efforts, continued to establish our credibility and presence, and signed new partnerships that will allow us to continue implement the vision set forth by our CEO and founder, Forest Whitaker. In South Sudan, Uganda, Mexico, and the United States, we enrolled and trained thousands of young people, established vibrant Community Learning Centers, brought conflicting communities together to dialogue and find peaceful resolutions to longstanding conflicts, and provided some of our youths with world-class opportunities to display their immense promise.
